Maison Haas Hustinx is an elegant hotel, located in the charming city of Maastricht. Luxury meets comfort here, making it the perfect place to rest your head after a long day of sightseeing. Relax in their beautiful spa, indulge in one of their restaurant's culinary delights, and enjoy a glass of wine from their seasonal selection.

Thanks to its historical rooms, a luxurious spa, and exquisite kitchen, Maison Haas Hustinx creates an oasis of spiritual and physical well-being, just wonderful for any holiday retreat. Your only requirement is to sit back and allow yourself to be pampered.

A MONUMENTAL AND GREEN HOTEL

Housed in two early 20th-century monumental buildings, Maison Haas Hustinx overlooks the Vrijthof square. Its 17 rooms were built and restored with great respect to the historical site. Although its foundation may be old, the design is actually very modern and forward-thinking. The hotel runs on green energy only. The owner primarily works with local suppliers and tries to source everything regionally. By doing so, they reduce their ecological footprint while simultaneously stimulating the local economy.

In 2020, they decided to expand, erecting a new structure behind their historical houses. Now home to a glass conservatory breakfast area and sustainable spa sanctuary, both are open daily to guests.

THE ROOMS

They offer a wide variety of rooms here. Ranging from double rooms to suites to full-blown apartments (fully equipped). Although the selection may be overwhelming because every choice is fantastic, it’s easy to find something that suits your needs! Plus, every accommodation is extremely luxurious, providing complimentary Nespresso, tea & mineral water, bathroom amenities, and high-speed WiFi. A perfect choice for a Maastricht holiday!

OUR ROOM

We stayed in their Deluxe Suite. A bit more spacious than the standard double, this room offers a king-size bed and marble bathroom with a walk-in shower and bathtub. Even the bathroom amenities were impressive — we are talking bathrobes, slippers, luxurious soaps, and bath salts! But the most spectacular thing about this option was the velvet seating that overlooks the Vrijthof Square. We spent our morning sipping coffee and enjoying the sunshine spilling in from the large, cascading windows!

THE SPA

Their spa, SANCTVM, is particularly special. It offers a pool, Finnish sauna, hammam, and various massages. When we visited, we were lucky to be the only ones there! But this was a very special happenstance. They are often booked far out in advance because they limit access to a maximum of 6 guests at a time. This ensures you have a peaceful and relaxed experience. If you are interested in visiting this spiritual sanctuary, we recommend you book prior to your trip! Furthermore, if you want to take your experience to an even higher level, combine your visit with one of their massage options. Their treatments will stimulate relaxation for both the body and mind.

THE RESTAURANT

After a morning of relaxing, don’t forget to give your stomach the attention it deserves. The hotel’s lunch restaurant, Safar, is a Levantine eatery that pays tribute to the journeys of Alphons Hustinx. Its mission is to deliver the Levant’s culture of hospitality and community, particularly around the dining table. The curated menu offers classic Levantine dishes inspired by honest cooking and simplicity, exposing only the truest nature of ingredients. It’s open from Friday to Sunday!

The continental breakfast was served in a spectacular setting. The glass conservatory let in tons of natural light and was incredibly inviting. You can choose from a normal. vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free breakfast. They really have covered all the bases! Last but certainly not least, is the coffee. You know your girls love a good cup of coffee, and Maison Haas Hustinx did not disappoint! This was such a wonderful setting to get energized for our day of exploring the city.
