Who's Kiki?
Hi! I’m Kirsten, but most people know me as Kiki. After studying Media & Entertainment Management, I started HTSPT Rotterdam, an Instagram account that grew into a thriving business and four physical city guides. I’ve always had a passion for creativity and storytelling — whether through film, theater, or digital platforms.
When the pandemic hit, it opened the door for something new: a travel platform. Together with Jazzie, I launched Chapter Fernweh to share our adventures, beginning with hidden gems in Central and Eastern Europe. But my story didn’t start with travel — I’ve juggled careers in film festivals, freelance design, and even running multiple businesses. Now, everything I’ve learned comes together in our journey to explore every European capital.
A fun fact? I love diving into different cultures so much that I’ve taken courses in Swedish, Croatian, and modern art — and spent countless hours bingeing Scandinavian cinema.
Who's Jazzie?
Hey, I’m Jazzie! Born and raised in the US, I started my journey as an educator with a Bachelor of Arts in Education and double minors in Science and Music. But life had other plans. My love for music led me to tour with the National Park Centennial Band, celebrating 100 years of America’s national parks—an experience that inspired me to dive headfirst into the music industry.
I eventually moved to New Orleans, where I worked as a musician while photographing concerts, managing social media accounts, and covering legendary festivals like the New Orleans Jazz Fest. Then, love came knocking. I fell for a Dutchman and traded New Orleans for the Netherlands, where I met Kiki and started a brand-new adventure.
Now, I bring my creative perspective, love for photography, and fresh outlook to Chapter Fernweh. With roots tracing back to my Slovenian grandmother, traveling Europe feels like coming home—one capital at a time.

How did we meet?
Our paths crossed in 2019, right as Kiki was preparing the text for her first Rotterdam city guide. Jazzie, with her sharp editorial skills, stepped in to help. What started as a small collaboration quickly turned into a friendship and eventually a shared dream. Together, we launched Chapter Fernweh with one goal: to inspire fellow travelers to explore Europe, starting with its capitals and lesser-known gems.
What have we done together?
We started by uncovering the charm of Central and Eastern Europe, with Kiki drawn to the breathtaking landscapes of the Balkans. From Croatia to Slovenia—where Jazzie’s family roots trace back—every trip deepened our love for the region and its rich history.
When the pandemic kept us closer to home, we collaborated on 50 beautiful holiday escapes across the Netherlands—proving that adventure is never far away.
Now, we’re taking on our grandest challenge yet: visiting and documenting every capital city in Europe. From hidden alleyways to bustling squares, the best local food spots to photo-perfect views, we’re here to share our tips, stories, and secrets to help you explore like a pro.
